The best of us

I loved Dave Coustan's recounting of the tornado weekend, and in particular all of the amazing help that neighbors and even people from outside the affected communities provided to one another to get through the aftermath of Friday night's twister. People with chainsaws, bobcats and just food and water coming to help one another get to their homes, resume their normal lives, and clean up from disaster...the best of what we can be to one another. While there were occasional brief reports of looting in the aftermath of the storm, there have been far more reports of the assistance the people of Atlanta have poured out to their neighbors. It's made me prouder than ever to live here.
