Now I feel pampered

Due to the ever-rising stress level and generally overworked state of our team, the powers that be have been bringing in a massage therapist every other week to do 20 minute chair massages. (We pay for them, of course, it's just the arranging for her presence that they take care of.) Today I had my second one and while it hurt at first do to my off-the-charts muscle tension in my shoulders, it was wonderfully relaxing by the end. Best 20 minutes of my whole week.

There are some who swear by deep tissue massage and who think anything you can do over someone's clothes and while on a chair is useless, and to those people I simply say pffft. You don't know what yer missin'.

I'm starting to think that if stress levels stay this high I will begin doing monthly hourlong massages at a local spa. It sounds heavenly right now.

I've got a good friend who unfortunately happens to live in oregon now. She went from a construction worker to deep muscle mover and on to a PhD in Physics. I'm sure she has people in Georgia who would really give you a great massage

I think a monthly massage is a wonderful idea! I've heard hot stone massages are awesome, but I've never had one, myself.
