Would they have done this to Dan Rather?

CBS apparently feels the need to photoshop Katie Couric down a size or two in their promotional materials. It's not like Katie was a total pudge before, as you can see by the side by side comparison.

Somehow I doubt that a male anchor would be slimmed down in such a fashion. So why is it OK to do it to Katie? She's going to be on the newscast every night so it's not like people won't see what she looks like unairbrushed at some point.
