Save the Clermont! UPDATED
Creative Loafing reports that my beloved Clermont Lounge may be endangered, because the Clermont Hotel and the property it sits on are up for sale.
If the Clermont goes, I will be devastated. In fact I am feeling the need to make a pilgrimage there this Saturday just to show my support and also maybe get in one more sweaty night of dancing before it's too late. Who knows when it could be shuttered? We must act now!

Update: Creative Loafing gets more information from the owner of the property, and it appears that the Lounge is not in danger of closing. Way to scare the bejeesus out of us for nothing, Andy-shay!

I thought I told you bitches I would hang out on FRIDAY.
I cannot be DD on Sat., that would suck HUGE for me. And would really rather not have to try and drive home intoxicated from freaking Kennesaw on a Sat. night.
I put out the call to the Sex 2.0 peeps. A bunch of them, especially Match (who did a podcast on the birthday lapdance he received there) had the best time at the Clermont last weekend. I'm sure we could save it ourselves!
I didn't mean hang out just to be DD. We are fully prepared to take a cab or I'll drive. Whatever. Have fun at Clermont.
There are no plans to go to the Clermont on Sat...that was largely rhetorical. But I prefer to do my drinking up in Cobb on Friday nights rather than Sat.--be it Kennesaw or the Bar--because of driving home afterwards. Which you know I always do because I like to sleep in my own bed.
I know this annoys you to no end. But I do not have any other plans for Sat., I just like to stay closer to home on that night so I can easily walk/take a cab if I need to.
It was not my intention to scare.
I did write in my blog post that I had no idea what it meant for the future of the lounge.
